Reflection
Artist Statement
What might the alter ego or DNA map of a flower look like? What might silence feel like in space? The paintings in "Reflection" demonstrate the continuous contemplation on how to express alternate realities. Through these interpretations, I want to show the beauty of visual tensions — be it the contrast between gestural organic forms and tight geometric shapes, or the visually exciting changes that occur when two differing media meet as in the refraction of light or waves. In my abstract scenarios, you will not see the mirror image of the world you witness, but one with a reflective twist.
